Hey Y’all!

Ever felt that pre-Playa panic?  You know, the one where you're scrambling for last-minute essentials, packing your costumes, and suddenly realize... gasp ...you don't have a bike!  Yeah, we've been there.

It all started with a laugh (okay, maybe a few panicked cries) and a whole lot of dust.  Picture this: Burning Man, the sun blazing, art installations shimmering in the heat haze, and my boyfriend and I... stranded. We'd arrived at Black Rock City, ready to embrace the radical self-expression, only to realize we'd made one teeny, tiny oversight – bikes.

Now, any seasoned Burner knows that navigating The Playa without wheels is like trying to swim through peanut butter. It's sticky, exhausting, and you probably won't make many friends along the way. So, there we were, two lovebirds in the desert, facing the daunting prospect of traversing miles of playa on foot.

Cue the frantic search! We scoured the camps, bartered with fellow Burners, and even considered hitching a ride on an art car (a giant, fire-breathing octopus, to be precise). But alas, no luck. Just when we were about to resign ourselves to a week of blisters and sunburns, a miracle happened. A kind soul, sensing our desperation, offered us two rickety bikes that looked like they'd survived a Mad Max movie.

We didn't care. We were ecstatic! Those bikes, despite their questionable brakes and wobbly handlebars, became our chariots of freedom. We rode them everywhere, laughing, exploring, and falling head over heels for both The Playa and each other.

But as the Burn came to an end, we faced a dilemma. What to do with our trusty steeds? Abandoning them felt wrong, and lugging them back home seemed like a Herculean task. That's when the idea struck us: Leave No Trace Wheels.
We realized that every year, countless Burners experience the same pre-Playa panic. The hunt for bikes, the inflated prices, the stress... it was a buzzkill. And what happened to those bikes afterward? Often, they ended up abandoned in the desert, creating unnecessary waste.

So, we decided to do something about it. Leave No Trace Wheels was born out of our love for this festival, our passion for sustainability, and a dash of that crazy, spontaneous energy that only The Playa can inspire.
